Hotel Isla de la Garena is replacing its chiller with a heat pump. A grant has been awarded under Order 1605/2022, dated 4 October, of the Regional Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport, approving the regulatory bases and the call for grants to finance energy efficiency and circular economy projects in tourist accommodation establishments in the Community of Madrid, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (funded by the European Union) NEXT GENERATION, component C14.I4, in the amount of €79,999.
The investment project falls within actions classified as Action Type 2 and is based on improving energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in the building’s thermal installations for heating, air conditioning, ventilation and domestic hot water at Hotel Isla de la Garena.
With this investment, a 31% reduction in the Hotel’s total electricity consumption has been estimated.
At Hotel Isla de la Garena, in line with our Sustainability Programme, 250 solar panels of 540 W per panel have been installed, with a total installed capacity of 150.50 kW.
